So many flowers. Red. Pink. Orange. Purple. There was also a lot of grass.
Erina was laying on the said grass, a patch that was bordered by a variety of flowers, some more colorful than others, but it was obvious which ones Erina had favored; a yellow lily flower was in her hand, inches away from her nose as she sniffed it.
The young girl didn't necessarily like the position that she had put herself in, but it was as close as she'd ever get to comfortable with the restraints she had; her legs we basically stuck on each-other, but nonetheless she did her best to widen the space between them; a good three centimeters.
As for her hands, they were bound to one another by yet another pair of restraints. She'd been like this for a while, but that didn't mean that she was satisfied. Well maybe it did; she probably could've asked a mineral demon to help her, or something.
Erina Layl never asks for help.
She had set the flowers around her herself, and that took more than an hour; more than three. It was especially difficult, given that Snow covered everything. She had moved the snow, revealing the lively colors.
Right now, Erina Layl was absolutely exhausted and wasn't sure as to whether or not she'd even make it back to the school; all the motivation and determination had been used to create the spring-like paradise surrounding her. A couple of good meters away from her though was more snow.
Erina Layl still had a lot to do. A LOT.
Her hair had covered her eyes, bestial halfling too lazy to shove it away; who was looking? Erina thought that those that hid their eyes behind hair were timid, fearful, and insecure.
She had to make a statement.
Baggy pants covered her legs; she knew that everything would be easier if she just wore skirts, but that was something that she promised herself would never do. Never. She was also dressed in a t-shirt, jacket placed over her shoulders as those were the hardest to put on.
Quietly (which was unusual for the young girl), she started to mumble song lyrics, trying to persuade herself to get up and keep working.

"The woods are lovely, dark and deep..." Kellin trudged along the snow. His leather combat boots left a mark as he got further away from the school and into the field. The poem by Frost continued to escape through his slightly dry and chapped but most definitely pale lips. He was too lazy to walk back to the school to get something hot to warm himself up. Then again there was the well-lit fireplace at the dormitory lounge but people would have already gathered there and he didn't feel like joining the crowd. Maybe he could gather up some firewood while he was here. That would be a good excuse if anyone would go looking for him. This was a time he just felt like keeping to himself. The fields would be the perfect place since nobody would go out on to the blistering cold. He stood corrected, a figure had formed at the same time he stopped walking. He lightened his steps to see who or what it was."Hello?" He said softly out to the figure that still looked a bit blurry. Should I approach him? her? it? He looked so confused although the look he had said he was angry, thanks to his eyes that had always caused him trouble.

Erina let out a long sigh; she needed to get up. She should, she had to. "Just five more seconds," Who was she kidding? Certainly not herself. She was probably going to fall asleep; she was falling sleep. Her eyes were closed; the hair was starting to bother her, poking into her eyes with every sudden gust of wind. She'd probably end up with a cold if she fell asleep, but for a brief moment, she didn't care and decided that it wouldn't kill her; she was always fighting and yelling, some peace and quiet certainly won't harm her, certainly won't kill her.
"WHO'S THERE!?" Erina shouted, getting up in a mere second. Well, she fell down all over again, but she did get up rather quickly, right? She had been half-asleep when a boy suddenly said "hello". What? That was a stereotypical response coming from Erina. "Ouch!" she muttered to herself; she hadn't even tried to weaken the drop; she fell down with a loud thud despite the grass under her. She wiggled towards the surrounding flowers, quickly squishing them.
It would be terrible for someone to see her acting so 'feminine'. All she wanted was some peace and quiet. Peace and quiet.
Done with hiding the evidence, she pushed herself up so that she was on her knees, a position that she despised as it reminded her of prayer. Rushing, with one final jump, she was standing on her feet, swaying slightly as she wasn't completely balanced. "What!?" she repeated, pushing the strands of hair away from her eyes, accidently banging the restraints against her forehead. She let out a weak groan.
This was terrible.

Kellin raised a brow at the sound of a girl coming from where the figure was. He shook his head and started laughing as he walked over to her. "Don't be such a hot head, girly." He teased her as his lips curled into a smirk. "You've given your hair justice with that feisty attitude of yours." He laughed again. He wasn't laughing at her in a rude manner. He actually found her adorable although something about the restraints on her limbs made him feel choked. He didn't ask about it, thinking it was too personal and decided to shift to another question. "What's a young girl like you doing out in the frozen fields? Shoveling for flowers?" He didn't have the right to ask that really and she might ask him back. At least he could use that firewood excuse, maybe he'd gain her company. [/blockquote] "The woods are lovely, dark and deep..." Erina glared at the figure, annoyed by both the fact that he was taller than her and that he'd caught her in a somewhat vulnerable state. She didn't speak; she had assumed that the look full of anger and disdain in her eyes was enough for him to get the message.
Erina usually didn't take things lightly, though at the moment she knew that she was being a tad too mean, a tad too serious. What? It wasn't as if he was taking her seriously. He definitely wasn't.
She shifted her attention from him to the jacket, crouching painfully and grabbing it. She hated the way she always had to place her hands; it made her look too polite, too tamed, but then again that was the point of the restraints, right? Her mother wanted to tame her.
..."shoveling for flowers?" Erina's eyes widened. Could. The. Situation. Be. Any. Worse?
All too suddenly, the girl lunged at the figure, dopping the jacket and extending out her arms to make the attack even more effective (due to the restraints).
They were now both on the ground, her on top of him, pushing him down with fists roughly and painfully placed against his chest. She had positioned her feet over his, restraints effectively hurting both of them.
Erina could certainly deal with the pain; she was used to it. "WHAT DID YOU JUST FUCKEN' SAY?

He rolled along the snow as the girl pushed him out of balance. She was pretty strong despite her petite body. The black vinyl hoodie and skinny jeans were spotted with blots of white snow. The white shirt underneath exposed his back to the cold ground. He yelped and cringed from the cuffs that bounded him to the ground. "Damn it!!!" He was starting to shiver as he took her by her cuffs and pulled her off of him. She was light as a feather and he slung him on to his shoulders like a sack of rice. "Can't you just relax and have a quiet conversation with a fellow halfling?"

A content grin had made its way to the girl's pale lips; for that brief moment, she was feeling very, very victorious. Of course, and obviously, it didn't last.
"Let go of me you fucken Bastard!" She screamed at the top of her lungs as he slung her onto his shoulders. She made sure to attempt destroying his eardrums, as impossible as that was given the situation; oh well, annoying him would be enough.
"Can't you just relax and have a quiet conversation with a fellow halfling?" Erina let out a long sigh, calming down slightly. "Well..." she mumbled, looking away for a moment as if considering. "Leave me the fuck alone and I'll relax, sonofabitch!" she yelled once more, wrapping her arms his neck and pulling him down.
Pulling maybe a tad too hard, the two fell on the snow. Erina cringed, but it was better falling on snow than the actual hard ground, right? It was only now that she'd understood the problem with her plan: the only pain he felt was probably what resulted from her choking him, whilst she had to indue his heavy body falling over her as well as the cold snow that sent shivers up her spine; she was wearing a mere t-shirt.
"Fuck..." she muttered, letting go of him as the pain was near unbearable.

"Shit! Do you really want to get that close to me, I don't even know your name yet!" He uttered a low growl as they tumbled down again. Both of them shivering from the cold but Kellin was starting to consider the pain into fun. "Feisty..." he muttered as a smirk crept up on his pale lips. He picked her up by her legs and pushed her back to a nearby tree. Then he took her arms and raised them up, holding them by her reins. "Do you really want me to be a fucking bastard?" He whispered into her right ear. His breath was slow and his voice was deep, as if he was luring her.

Why was she feeling a throbbing in her head? Well, that was probably due to the fall. Definitely. "Such an idiot..." Erina muttered to herself, vision unclear. She tried to resist, but failed miserably as the only thing she managed to do was open her eyes to actually acknowledge what was going on. Was that even resisting?
Erina absolutely hated this.
She groaned.
"What THE FUCK do you think you're doing?!" she suddenly yelled, noting his change in tone. "And to answer your question, you already are one!" she added, trying to hide the way she shuddered when his warm breath met her ear. She shook her head, trying to push him away and hoping that perhaps she'd manage to actually hit him.
Of course, she could always try yelling for help rather than repetitively insulting him, but there was probably no one around and she'd never ask for help. All the same, it wasn't as if she feared him or took him seriously at the moment. She'd just have to try to calm down and wait for an opening.
Another groan. She hated the way her hair was covering her eyes at the moment.

He knew she felt weak, even if she was trying her best to be a tough cookie. He bit his lip and formed it into a smirk to prevent himself from laughing. He was just starting to have fun and she had no idea he wasn't the least bit annoyed. "You're trembling..." He took her chin with his free hand. He leaned in closer and met her eyes, they were just an inch away from each other. He knew she'll probably jerk away or something but how could she hurt him, she'll probably just hurt herself.

Erina remained silent for a moment, ignoring his actions and not responding whatsoever. Well, as long as she took the initiative...
Surprisingly, the young girl leaned forward, lips meeting his. Being her asexual self, she really didn't think much of it, nor did she feel anything due to it; what mattered to her at the moment was the fact that he wasn't the one to violate her.
That being done, the girl broke the kiss by biting his lower lip and just barely managing to kick him in the stomach. She moaned when the back of her head hit the tree; she didn't care if she hurt herself or not, bled or not; all that mattered was the fact that he wouldn't assume her to be so weak as to not be able to resist. "Fucken' narcissistic asshole..." she muttered as she tried to push herself up, but once again, her attempt was to no avail. Her vision had become somewhat hazy, but nonetheless, she refused to remain in her current position; she must've looked so helpless, lying against the tree like that. Thus, she leaned forward, shifting her position so that she was on her knees. Of course, doing this had lead to her coming closer to him, but why on earth would he keep trying? Erina wasn't the type to give up, but she'd assumed that someone like him would let it go.
She staggered to her feet, though only falling once more. "Dumbass," she said, for once speaking in a tone that wasn't a shout or a mumble.

Kellin let out a soft moan as she bit his lip. He was trembling but had no idea if it was due to the cold, the kiss or the slight kick.He cleared his throat and let her go, not sure of what just happened.[/blockqute]"I'm sorry for disturbing you." He said softly as he watched her slide into a kneeling position. He sat next to her and kept shaking his head, still feeling dazed. "Those lips...shoot curses like a machine gun." He grinned and started to laugh, not at her but at the situation. "Although there's still sweetness..." he muttered and glanced at her lips then her face. He remembered they were still strangers to each other. As he fell, he caught her by his arm, blocking her by the neck to prevent her face from hitting the ground and push her back to the tree. He extended his hand out and offering it for her to shake he put up a warm smile and introduced himself. "I'm Kellin."

Erina glared at him, her only response to his apology being "Sorry my ass!" Despite the evident tone that displayed anger, it came out in a weak mumble as she examined him, still skeptical. She might've guessed that the whole thing was an act, but being Erina, she refused to settle for that; what if he was actually serious about it and she was taking it with a grain of salt? All the same, she doubted the fact that he was sorry about it; he won a free kiss, didn't he?
"Those lips...shoot curses like a machine gun." The young girl raised an eyebrow at the statement, slightly grinning. "If that's the case then it looks like I've missed most of my shots," she chuckled, her eyes abandoning their angry glares for a brief moment. People had told her a lot of things, but what the boy had told her was certainly amusing.
Erina did her best to disregard his mutter, though the help that he'd given her was maybe a bit too much. Of course, she did need it, but she simply preferred to rely on herself. She didn't intend to get used to it either; they weren't always going to be around; she'd be alone someday. She bit her lower lip as she struggled to hold back the words she was about to say. She wasn't going to thank him, but better nothing than a handful of curses, right? "Erina," she smiled weakly, shaking his hand.
"Could ya gimme my jacket?" Her question was hardly a question as her tone was authoritative. "'tis behind you," she grinned, referring to the item that was a couple of meters behind Kellin, now covered in snow, nonetheless apparent as it wasn't that hard to see black when white covered just about everything.
She was freezing.

Kellin shook his head and clicked his tongue. "A sincere apology and it just goes up your ass... why not accept it and let it sink in for a chance?" He tried to understand the way she was reacting, maybe she was just like him. He can be cranky and too independent to send people running from him.
It was still to vague since he had no idea who she really was except for what she has been called. "Oh no Erina, you shot me right through the heart with that kiss." He chuckled, which was probably the softest thing you can get if you just met him, he only chuckles when he feels he can trust someone. He was starting to trust her, get comfortable even if he hadn't understood her psychology yet.
"It's a start." He said aloud although he meant to keep it to himself. He reached out for the jacket but kept his arm around Erina to keep her balance. He doesn't know why he feels so protective of her, like his power rebounded on him and he became attached to her. It was all very confusing but he liked it.

Erina grinned. "If you're gonna do something don't run about regretting it; apologies are as much use to me as a soccer ball is, if you know what I mean," she said, referring to the restraints with her last comment. Erina would've been drowning in regret if she bothered apologizing to people who would do nothing but mock her (which was they'd do given her actions). Thus, the only thing she could do was ever make the situation even worse or act as if it was nothing, which it usually was after an hour.
"Oh no Erina, you shot me right through the heart with that kiss." She let out a giggle at the statement; despite her extremely defensive actions, she didn't see the harm in letting her guard down every now (even with strangers). Well, they were acquaintances now, weren't they?
"Start of what? 'cause if you're leaning towards a grander and philosophical meaning of that kiss I'll knock you out and put you in a coma," she threatened, though her tone was somewhat playful. Well, that didn't make it any less of a threat.
"Um, Kel, you can fucken' let go of me now," she said, voice returning to its usual roughness and seriousness. With a glare, she took the jacket, carefully placing it over her shoulders. She didn't necessarily have mood swings, but Erina was one to make it obvious that getting on her bad side wasn't difficult.
"So we're gonna stay out here forever?" she said sarcastically.
