Hair; Massa’s hair is naturally a pale, washed-out blonde, hanging in messy yet clean locks across his face; but as he entered Styrewood, he impulsively dyed his hair teal, even adding in even stranger lime green streaks to highlight the blue. The unnatural colors have stuck with him through the years, even though they were fashioned in an act of passive-aggressive defiance. Despite the ridiculous dyes and the messy locks, Massa generally takes care of his hair. He washes it on a regular basis, and will even style it for appropriate occasions. Whenever Massa is to see his father, his hair is always slicked straight back from the roots in a way that suits him, yet is unusual to those who have not seen the style before.
Eyes; As with all Aquatic Demons, Massa has dark brown eyes, almost bordering on black. His eyes are actively expressive, offering clear views into his emotions—usually they sparkle with good-natured teasing, but there are occasions when they spark with unsuppressed rage.
Build; Massa is tall for his age, though not exceptionally so, and his weight is average for his height. His legs constitute for most of his length vertically. Though he keeps himself fit, Massa’s not muscular—his exercise is mostly for fun, rather than competition.
Height; 1.65 m (~5’5”)
Personality; First and foremost, Massa is a prankster. He takes pleasure in tricking others, though none of his pranks are meant to be harmful. All his tricks are friendly, though he occasionally goes too far with his mischievousness and offends his victim. In these cases he is openly apologetic—despite his playful nature, he is a kindhearted individual. Even if Massa is benevolent, however, his loyalty shouldn’t be relied upon. Massa has an aversion to commitment and has to be coaxed into any sort of faithful relationship. This may only be because of his young age and immaturity, but it is enough to sometimes pain those who consider him a close friend. The only time Massa’s seriousness can be relied upon is when he is angered. Once angered, Massa has a hard time forgiving those who have affronted him and can be openly volatile. He goes out of his way to become a nuisance to those who have somehow slipped onto his bad side, though it is very difficult to become someone he hates. Generally life is a joke for Massa, and he even takes his insults in stride.

Quirks; He generally dresses in bright, comfortable clothes, and can often be found lounging around or socializing with the other students. He’s somewhat of a class clown and he pretends that he doesn’t take his classes as seriously as he should, but he still manages to fall within the 5-4 (or B-C) area.
History; Massa was born to a female demon and a fairly wealthy American businessman. Massa’s father was desperately in love with Massa’s mother, yet he displayed his love very coolly as he was used to putting on poker faces for the paparazzi. Massa’s mother, on the other hand, seemed to be a kind woman; but the demon was simply playing along with the Marcellin family’s fame for her own temporary amusement. The “love” the two shared was completely one-sided, though it fooled many into believing it was shared—including their young son. Massa, over time, began to favor his mother over his father, who shared more of her feelings and time with him than his preoccupied father ever did. Massa’s mother developed a genuine motherly love for her son in return, but she continued to pay more attention to temporal pleasures than responsibilities and commitments.
By the time young Massa had turned four, his mother had grown bored of her extravagant lifestyle. Her curiosity had been filled, and she no longer had any reason to remain with Massa and his father. She left spontaneously one summer evening, leaving a short and seemingly heartfelt note stating that she felt suffocated by the Marcellin’s lifestyle and could no longer remain within the stuffy household. Both Massa and his father were devastated at the loss of their third family member—but rather than bonding them, the separation tore them apart. Taking her note seriously, Massa blamed his father for his mother’s disappearance: he believed that not only had his father’s fame and popularity caused her to suffer, but that the man’s nonchalance had also caused her pain. Massa’s father, on the other hand, had a better grasp on what had really happened to his demon wife, though it didn’t console his broken heart in the slightest. He became more reclusive and involved in his work, refusing to see his son except on special planned occasions.
By the time Massa’s father had realized the riff he had created between himself and his son, the relationship between them had already been ruined. Massa had come to abhor whatever his father loved, purposely acting against his father’s wishes—and no matter the amount of time that his awkward father spent trying to reconcile them, his stubborn son could not find a reason to excuse him. When the businessman finally received a letter from his wife for the first time in ten years suggesting he send Massa to Styrewood Academy, Massa’s father was almost relieved to have someplace to send the rebellious juvenile. Massa himself was also glad to escape his father’s home, even if it was to a boarding school. Before the halfling left, his father sat down with him one last time to hastily and awkwardly explain to his son what Massa really was: half demon and half human. The tense, volatile meeting was the last talk Massa had with his father before he left for Styrewood, and the hatred he felt then still bubbles within him when he is reminded of his father.
Despite the need to take a break from the passive-aggressive teen, Massa’s father still put Massa on half-board in order to see him during the holidays. Massa dreads these times when he must put on a proper and kindly demeanor for his father and his friends, and longs for an escape from the man he’s grown to despise over the years.
Roleplay Sample; The sunlight that streamed through the school windows had already tempted many of the students to abandon the building and lounge around on the school grounds, but Massa had decided to remain inside for the time being. He’d sacrificed sun and play for the warmth and comfort of his dormitory’s common area. The drowsy Halfling had only just woken up, and he couldn’t be bothered to change out of his PJs—they could pass off as regular clothes anyway, as he always wore an oversized T-shirt and sweatpants to bed. The only addition to his normal sleeping repertoire that he had bothered to put on was a pair of neon tennis shoes and socks.
He was debating with himself whether he should put in a movie to help him wake up, when another ninth grader from his math class burst into the dorm. Massa’s classmate seemed to notice him at the same time Massa noticed him, and they exchanged a pair of grins before the boy motioned for him to come join him and his friends in a game of soccer outside. The simple invitation worked better than coffee, and Massa’s sleepiness was forgotten as he scrambled to his feet to join the group with smiles and jostling.
