Remy's foot touched the ground daintily, heel perpendicular to the bridge of his right one. His right arm was held out, a faint sheen of sweat present on his pale skin. His blond waves were tossed wildly, the pink hair clip having fallen over and struck the door just moments ago as he had ended the dance with a sharp spin. His chest was heaving, mouth open and panting for air to replace the oxygen that he had used up. The halfling wore an ecstatic grin on his face, thrilled not by his curvaceous partner, but by the exhiliration of dance.
As usual, Remy had unwittingly given into another girl in his dance class, caving in to her pressure of wanting to dance with him at lunch. Normally his stomach would be complaining, but for him, tango was medicine to all. She had insisted that he choose the type of dance and take the lead, pretending to be indecisive and ready to experiment with anything he wanted. As always, he had chosen a fast-paced tango, taking note that she was had a wind affinity like himself and was able to keep up. When he looked at her, he could see that her eyes were shining even though she was trembling.
Maybe he had been a little harsh on her after all.
Taking his free hand, he swept it into a large, flourished bow, brushing his lips against the girl's hand and pulling away. Muffled squeals came from the door as it burst open. A stampede of girls quickly surrounded the girl that he had just danced with, skilfully skirting around him and catching the girl before her legs gave out. Cries of "that was so hot!", "sexy!" and "that was amazing!" told him that she was fine and it wasn't his fault at all. That put him at ease and he retreated a little further back, allowing the stampede to go out as quickly as they had come in. That was fun, Remy thought cheerfully, flicking some hair out of his eye - where was that hair clip when he needed it? Maybe he should have readjusted it before he started the dance. Oh well, he would just get another before he went to take a shower.
Remy dropped to the floor, stretching out his legs as was customary every time he exercised. He was radiating off heat and still breathing pretty heavily, but he could tell that he was starting to calm down. After stretching lazily, he sat down on the linoleum floor, crossing his legs as the music halted. The silence filled his ears pleasantly, sending him into a state of peace. He closed his eyes and let out a huge sigh; he would stay here for a while, then go shower.
Oh, and find his hair clip too.
