"Moooove!" Erina groaned, struggling not to slam the tray she was holding against the head of the halfling in front of her. Erina hated lines; they were a waste of time and she was most certainly one of the least patient individuals around campus. "Ay, just a couple of minutes... er, seconds," she told herself, sighing for the hundredth time. Another sigh.
And then one of the most genuine smiles adorned her thin, chapped lips. Whilst it did appear to be rather natural--and an expression that was most likely no stranger to her face--Erina was known to show the exact opposite, and a good example was how she scowled with every demand and order. No. Erina Layl didn't gently poke someone's shoulder, flash a smile, and kindly ask him to to stop being such a slowpoke. She was already making quite the effort to not be any ruder than she already was.
Content, she hopped towards one of the empty tables, careful not to let any of the items that were on her tray bounce off. Taking a seat, she roughly placed the tray on the table, allowing her messenger bag to slip down her arms and meet the floor. "Great," she muttered sarcastically, crouching and slipping under the table. Taking her time, she fiddled with the zipper, finally managing to open the bag seconds later. She looked through it, finally standing up once more, book in hand. The useless bag could rest under her, for now.
Sitting down once more, she set the book in the table, hands wrapping around the sandwich that she had chosen. It was pulled away from the rest of the food: French fries, soda, cup of tea, chocolate chip cookies, and an apple. She had to restrain herself due to her inability to practice sport, but oh well. Taking one big bite, she set it down once more, teal green eyes shifting back to the book.
Yes, Erina Layl was a badmouthed troublemaker, but that didn't mean that she intended to flunk and fail. She did indeed skip a class or two every now and then, but it wasn't why she was usually stuck in detention. Slightly leaning forward, she opened it, fingers reaching out for a french fry with every finished paragraph. Call it a reward. Her hair was tied back into one of the smallest and cutest little ponytails, several strands loose and escaping the grasp of the black ribbon.
A bright yellow tank top hugged her nonexistent figure and an overly loose pair of pants hid her sneakers. Erina was never dressed for the weather unless it was summer, truth be told. Two doggy ears lazily flopped against her hair, more evident than usual due to how she had decided to style it this afternoon.

"EHEM..." Kellin cleared his throat as he approached Erina's table. Probably one of the only friends he has at Styrewood. He fished for the lighter he was suppose to return to her whenever they got the chance to bump into each other again.
But the hall ways were too risky a place to even return such a small object. He slid it on her tray, using the apple as a cover. "Mind some company?" He asked as he was about to set his own tray of a BLT sandwich and a bottle of water.
He wondered about Erina's clothing. She was clearly not wearing the right clothing for the season. But he knew if he talked about it she'll react aggressively as he knew she always does whatever the situation is. As he gazed from her feet up to her head his lips curved into a smile. "Doggy ears...hehe" He said softly, chuckling to himself.
He saw the book she was reading but thought he'd ask about it later, in the middle of their conversation, maybe. That is if she is in the mood to let him join her on the table. As for his get up for today. He donned a brown fur-lined black parka, a red plaid long-sleeve polo and a white undershirt. He paired his top with black cargo pants. On his feet were high-cut black sneakers and on his head was a red and gray knitted bonnet. His hair was straightened as usual although Erina told him before that it looked alright even if it wasn't. He just couldn't stand not fixing it. Vain as he is.

Erina stood up, eyes set on Kellin. She watched as he slid the lighter, thoughtfully nibbling on a fry. She had set the book back on the table and was now examining. "What happened to greetings? Ye know: hi, hello, good morning, good afternoon, good evening, good night...hey, hiya, ohayo, marhaba, salut...Naw, you just decided to storm in here and ask that question."
She took a deep breath, eyes flicking down to his attire. "You expect me to sit across of someone that dresses like that?" she commented, pointing at his wardrobe. "I mean, this is school. No one gets all dressed up like this for school. Who do you think you are?! Think you own the place? And what are you, gay? Who wears those weird hats?"
She stared at his hair, the familiarity undeniable. Maybe she did know him? But, his hair looked awful. How could she be friends with someone that had hair that looked like that. The thought was terrifying. Nevertheless, she didn't say anything about it.
The fourteen year old sat down, drinking a sip of tea; that was a lot of talking. She looked up. "And who are you?" she questioned, a puzzled look adorning her face as she tilted her head, examining him once more. Erina wasn't one to pretend to know people when they appeared to be familiar with her. If she forgot them, then they weren't worth remembering, right? Nevertheless, she tried to remember him, taking a bite from her sandwich. "Wait!" she ordered, convinced that she'd eventually come to remember on her own. Yes, he could stand there whilst she thought.
Hm. He had said something while she was inspecting him, hadn't he? When she thought about it, it seemed like something insulting (to her.) And then a wide smirk met her lips. She looked up at him. "Kelly!" she exclaimed, "How could I forget you?! You're like, one of my few friends or something. And we kissed, too..." she mused, "Why'd you straighten your hair?"

Kellin impatiently tapped his foot on the floor as he glared at Erina. First, for having to forget him all of a sudden, second for judging his looks and third for not just agreeing for him to share the table with her. "Why are you my friend again? Was it because of the drugs... or the kiss??? I FOR-GOT!" He was starting to raise his voice and a few heads were turning towards their direction.
"I didn't think I needed to greet you because I'm one of your FEW FRIENDS, Erina Varisha Iba Layl." His eyebrows were in a furrow and his forehead was starting to show wrinkles. "I'm sorry if my clothing doesn't suit your taste but I thought you knew I don't care what anyone thinks. I GUESS YOU FORGOT!
He cracked his knuckles as he continued. "I also know we talked about how I like to straighten my hair, you FORGOT that one too." He inhaled and exhaled, closing his eyes once in a while to calm himself down and stop himself from doing anything that will get both of them in trouble.
As if this scene wasn't trouble enough.

Erina watched him as he spoke, bemused. What was he so upset about? She was actually trying to be nice today. How could anything go wrong?
Having heard all that he felt the need to say, she responded, nibbling on a french fry, "No one doesn't actually not care about what anyone thinks. You have to care, even if it's just a wee bit. So you can't really say that I forgot. I can state my opinion, and that was exactly what I did. I told you that I didn't like your clothes and that they made you look gay. You're able to say whatever you wanna say to me." There; now wasn't that a civil, mature response? She was trying to be nice, no joke about that.
"Also, I don't care about what you like or don't like. I'm saying that your hair looks terrible like this. You're not obliged to adjust to my needs and likings and I never asked you to." Her tone was firm and the usual smug look on her face was gone. Now, one thing Erina Layl didn't want to lose was a friend, truth be told. Even if he was taller than her and annoying, a friend was a friend.
"And why are you so mad about me forgetting you? I remembered you, isn't that the highlight? I forget everyone, and you ask just about anyone about that," she explained, now eying him with a curious smile. What she had said was actually true, somewhat. "I also joke a lot; now I'm sure everyone knows that," she giggled, gesturing for him to sit down. "Sorry?" There, she apologized. Though, if he didn't forgive her she'd make sure to forget him. Why? Because Erina made a habit of not apologizing. It was a sign of weakness and regret. Did she regret what she had said? Hell no.
Nevertheless, she didn't wait for a response or an action; instead, she was casually eating her sandwich once more, oblivious to the eyes that were watching them.

Point taken. Kellin sat down and smiled at her. "I'm sorry too... for over acting. I thought you wouldn't recognize me just because we only met once." He took a bite out of his sandwich, all that talking made him even hungrier than he already was.
"Do I really look gay with my hair straightened?" He frowned as he asked her, taking another bite on his sandwich as he took a lock of his hair with his free hand. That part concerned him for a bit, although it was rather gender racial of him it was probably his masculinity working.
He looked at Erina still amazed at the words she had said. A normal fourteen year old wouldn't talk like this. Yet again, no one is normal around here and Erina definitely had gone through a lot as he could remember.

Erina nodded at his apology, taking another bite of her sandwich. Why would he assume that? How could she forget the person that she had both kissed and tackled. Well, she had indeed forgotten him for a brief moment, but oh well.
Nevertheless, she couldn't help but giggle at his question, eying him with smirk. She nodded, "Yah. Especially with that weird hat." There, honesty was always a given when it came to Erina, and as she had already mentioned, he was no exception. All the same, she'd have to work on making him change his taste in clothes. It was just...horrid.
"Wanna do my homework?" she suggested, snickering. Boy would she be amazed if he actually agreed to that. It wasn't as if he owed her anything, and she was asking for the sake of knowing what his response would be. She actually didn't have much left: she just needed to finish reading the dumb book along with some math equations. And given that she had taken her sweet time, she intended to skip whatever classes she had in the afternoon; most of them were pointless, anyhow.
"Heh? What?" she questioned, noting the odd way that he had been looking at her.

"What else should I take off?" Kellin asked although he could help himself from smirking and giving Erina a flirty look. The question was serious though, maybe he did need to change his wardrobe, he wasn't in Germany anymore.
He proposed an agreement. "I help you in your homework and you help me with my clothes. Deal?" Then they'll both benefit, although he's hoping it's not math and if it is at least it's not too hard.
He continued eating his lunch, finishing the sandwich and gulping down the bottle of water. He shook his head as Erina asked what, thinking the reason for him looking at her wasn't really that important to say. He shows her how special she is anyway, he just doesn't know if she has any idea about it.

Erina's smirk widened as his statement, and she couldn't help but snicker some more as she eyed him. Nevertheless, her eyebrows raised at his propositions, and even her floppy dog ears took the liberty of perking up; he was willing to help her if she gave him advice on his clothes?
Well, now there was a dumb idea. Erina always felt obliged to give her two cents--as it often came as criticism or insults--but for him to actually want her opinion as far as deciding what to wear? Now that was taking it too far. He'd probably have to get rid of all the clothes in his closet and head to the mall to buy some new things. Well, if he were to actually abandon his clothes then she wouldn't hesitate to take whatever would fit--or preferably was several sizes larger. But, she would still be doing it for him; what were the odds or finding Erina Layl at the mall?
"Ok then! You can read this book and write the report, and I'll just finish the math," she grinned, taking another bite out of her sandwich. She knew that his response would be a certain no as he probably had class, and it wasn't as if it was some small book; nope. She'd had it for quite some time now, actually; procrastination had gotten the best of her. All the same, she looked at him hopefully and expectantly.

Kellin took the book and started flipping through the pages. Sort of playing with it. "Alright. Oh yeah most of my clothes are winter clothes, I have a few tank tops but I don't know if I should wear them here... Oh yeah, for what subject is this book?"
He doesn't have anything against reading books. Sometimes he just doesn't have the energy to read or listen in class. In some cases, he would read something unrelated to the lesson in a class. If he didn't he usually gets in trouble for voicing out his critiques or opinions in class. This usually involves humiliating the teacher. But he had always been frank and he'd be lying to himself if he just stayed quiet and kept a smile on like the rest.
"Oh yeah, I forgot to ask you about your controller, guess what mine is. Hehe." He asked Erina, since people usually fell for his nose ring. Maybe he'd get a different answer from her. "Oh yeah, maybe you could join me in my next class. Think of it as an advanced class, I have the feeling you wouldn't attend yours so why not try out my class. He shrugged, acting like his invitation had no intentions. When he really hoped Erina would be interested to listen and discuss it with him since he would be working on the book.

Erina stared at him, incomprehensive. He was going to read the book? Seriously? "Seriously? I mean, it's long and boring and annoying...Hn, subject? English," the young girl rambled on, mentioning just about every possible fault about the book before finally answering his question. "Tank tops are good...so are tees," she added, grinning. Well, it most certainly wasn't the time for them, but they were practically the only thing she wore. She wasn't immune to the cold, but it came with her affinity.
Having quickly finished eating the sandwich, her attention had completely shifted to the cup of tea. Sipping it softly, she maintained her stare, as if trying to find some hidden trick or secret. His controller? Well, the nose ring was rather convincing, but why had he chuckled? Or, if it were that simple, why had he even bothered asking. She stared some more. What was that lump in his pocket? He always had it, she even noticed it before they had met. "Um... The thing...in your pocket," she finally concluded, leaning forward to refer to his pocket.
"I think mine are pretty obvious," she chuckled, refering to the restraints. Sure, she really didn't want to go to any classes, but it was better than picking a fight--most likely. "When is it?"

Kellin gave out a hearty laugh. "Adorable... isn't every book like that and every complaint will turn to a criticism once you've reached the end of it." He looked at the cover of the book again, just paying attention to the design. "What type of literature is this?" He asked Erina as he played with the pages again.
"I see the problem here. You haven't seen the rest of my clothes." After he had said that, there was a sudden glint in his eyes. "If only we weren't so restricted, I could show you my room." He then continued his play with the book that was now being spun on the table.
He was surprised to see that Erina was the first one to answer him right. Or was it just a lucky guess. "Good observation. Now I know what parts of me you look at." He had one of his smirks on again. "Smart girl.." He muttered to himself as he nodded once to assure himself how Erina really was different from the others.
"I've got one more hour of break before class." He drummed on the book awaiting Erina's response.

Erina huffed out her irritation, unnerved by his words. She was acting childish. and she knew it. "The boring type. I think it has romance and shit. Biography..." Yes, the girl was more-or-less taking the assignment personally. Just about everyone knew how much she hated those types of books, and the teacher was probably just obsessing over how she was supposed to be open-minded. Yeah, right.
"We aren't restricted. What the fuck are you talking about?" she questioned, leaning forward even more. Her teal green eyes maintained a curious stare towards his. Yeah, what was he talking about? Heck, she had a blast hanging out at the guys' dorm. Well, she had been obliged to serve detention at times because of it, but it wasn't as if she had much to do on Saturdays.
"Cool. So what is it?" she questioned, tilting her head to one side and dropping back onto her seat. With that, she started to nibble on a cookie, eyes not shifting away from him for even a moment. She made a habit of staring; it seemed to make people uncomfortable, or something.
"Suuure... Why the fuck not, right." Her voice was more-or-less enthusiastic. And yes, she was more-or-less excited.

"Interesting... and how you find romance is interesting as well." Kellin still had a smirk on. "I wonder who could change that." He shrugged and turned his attention back to his drumming on the book.
He slowed down on the constant drumming as he raised a brow at what Erina had just said. "I thought you were to suppose to stay at your side? We can't even step foot on the hall to your dorm." He didn't understand how he couldn't know about what Erina was talking about. Was there a secret passage way? That news would've spread quickly from the first to the last room in their dorm.
He felt the controller in his pocket and kept silent, his eyes looking around the cafeteria as if looking for anyone who might be listening to their conversation. He wasn't open to others, those he didn't trust, to know about him. Including his controller, which was a very personal item to him. "I'll tell you but not here."
Kellin smirked again at Erina's carefree reply. "Fuckin' awesome."

"If romance always revolved around fist fighting, I'd love it," she smirked. Well, this was most certainly better than spending it alone. Besides, it made her feel like less of a loner (and she wasn't obliged to read through the dumb book anymore.) She continued to take small bites off of the apple. There, she was eating healthy food, wasn't she? Tea was also supposed to be good...
Erina giggled at his response, "well, something must be wrong with your dorm... I mean, I can easily slip and out. Unless I'm always mistaken for a guy or something..." she mused. Interesting. Nevertheless, she wouldn't be surprised to hear that that was why. She usually went there looking like a bum, anyhow.
"But...but it's just a controller," she complained, curiosity and impatience bringing out more of the childish part of her. But it was no more than a controller. What was stopping him?
And then she couldn't help but giggle some more at his reply. "So we go to your dorm room, and then we head to class. Aye?"
