But was it alright? Was it okay to be overly emotional and sensitive; to be a burden to everyone around her; to only possess a sad, pessimistic view over everything; to relate everything to herself as if the world cared; to always gain attention without even trying to.
Maybe she really was no more than an attention whore. Maybe she ought to dye her hair and ruin it, stray away from her all natural look and start being what she really was: an attention whore. But wasn't it true? Look at Jeanne, so worried about her that she had completely forgotten about bikini shopping; so worried that she had actually hugged her. And Olivia hadn't pulled away. She stayed right there, enjoying the physical contact.
Olivia hated herself, and nothing was going to change that...but she somehow managed to fake being o.k. sometimes, so why not now? There, she'd be normal for the sake of Jeanne; maybe actually walk out with a bikini in hand. And with that, she slipped away from the taller girl's grasp, eyes to the ground as she tried not to think about the people that were probably looking at them.
Maybe she should dye her hair and buy clothes that represented her personality. There was no point in lying to people when she was as translucent as she was. People could see right through her words, and maybe being truthful would work. There, she ought to stop acting all innocent with her lack of makeup and light complexion. "B-bikini sh-shopping, right?"

Jeanne simply let Olivia pull away. She personally felt quite pleased with herself, actually managing to offer comfort for once. She inspected the other girl's expression, deeming her fine for now. Well, it wasn't uncommon to have little spells of insecurity sometimes. Even she had them, though they were usually rants of uncertainty in French until she felt better about herself.
"B-bikini sh-shopping, right?" The serpentine halfling grinned widely, she had just about forgotten about bikini shopping. Wonderful! So she still remembered! Hopefully they'd have more luck now. "Oui!" Jeanne chirped, ignoring all of the others around them. Right now it was bikini shopping. She didn't care so much about the others. Not even about the cold.
"Come on, there's gotta be something good for us here!" She said, gesturing to the whole shop again. "You pick something?" Jeanne suggested, eyes shining. She wanted to see what Olivia would pick for herself - maybe it would shed some light on her?

Olivia breathed in, smile vanishing for a short moment as she tried to maintain composure. Her cheeks were still faintly red. Her hair--tangled in perhaps far too many spots--covered the majority of her eyes, some strands actually piercing into the sad pools of forest green. She didn't bother to releave herself of the pain, either. Instead, she wiped the back of her hand against her cheeks, drying them.
"F-f-f-or..." the girl struggled to finish the sentence, finding difficulty in asking a simple question. She mumbled a stuttered apology when she was pushed aside by a passing boy--a seemingly older boy--and nearly tripped over her own foot. She was well aware that it was he that was supposed to apologize, but who was standing in the middle of the store? Well, she was actually closer to the corner, but whatever.
Olivia quietly balanced herself, not wishing to start another commotion of some sort. "F-for m-me or for y-you?" she finally asked, instantly regretting the way she phrased her question. She assumed that they were here to find a bikini for Jeanne, though the taller girl probably intended to get them both swimsuits. "T-th-this l-looks nice," she commented, pulling a brightly colored bikini from the rack. She wondered if Jeanne would mock her choice and inwardly hoped so.
